Oh my. This is the first I've heard. So sad. I feel like the trees in Winter.

I should read that book some day. The trouble is there are so many books I should read some day, and so little energy for reading.

2016 is a very hard year. :(
I know exactly how you feel. I love the discworld books from Terry Pratchet and when he died it was like losing an old friend.
This genius was a big part of my life for years and when he died it ripped out a piece of my heart.

I have the last book he wrote as an audio book but I cant bring myself to hear it (my husband neither) because it feels like, if I hear it, this last story of him, he will be "realy" gone forever.

...And Carrie Fisher too.

God damn it, why 2016... why?

It's like 2016 is this bad droid that casts debilitating diseases and deaths onto old people.

I seriously need to find the time to sit down and actually Watership Down... too much on my plate right now, work included.

I'd recommend starting with the original novel. It's a fabulous book! Audible also has a nicely read audiobook if that's more convenient.

Watership Down is my favorite novel as well. He had a long and rich life but it is still a lamentable loss to see him go. And a shame that he did not live to see the remake due out next year. It has not been a good year in many ways. *hugs*

Watership Down's without a doubt my favorite book and the loss of Richard Adams is just breaking my heart. His works really influenced my own work and my general worldview.

And Carrie Fisher too. Star Wars was a huge part of my childhood and I really admired her outspokeness and humor.
