I hate to drag out bad news, so I'll make this brief; I have to take a short hiatus while I fly back out to Texas for an indefinite-but-hopefully-short stay after my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer today. I've already lost two people to cancer this year without being able to see them before they passed, and I have no intention of making the same mistake a third time.

My sincerest apologies to folks who have active commissions pending with me, as well as folks who were hoping to get one soon; I absolutely hate to let them sit, and I hope y'all understand. With luck, we'll get back to our regularly-scheduled smut in short order!

EDIT: There's been some good news! The cancer test came back negative; there's still a scary-as-hell surgery to face, and I'm still heading out that way to visit, but thankfully it's looking like it'll be to celebrate and not to build a plan of attack against a very serious disease! Thank you all so much for the well-wishes, I'm incredibly appreciative! Hopefully this also means the brief hiatus will be even shorter; it's certainly easier to focus on creative works without something like this hanging over my head!
