Please Read, Need Input + Cat Sick

I was so excited to almost be done with commissions so I could finish a trade and raffle prize but....that's all gotta change now.
Long story short, me and my gf came back from a trip from our home city to see my cat, Dante lethargic on the ground. He usually greets us at the door but he was just laying pitifully in the hallway and growling. When I tried to pick him up, he was limping. My roommate who was watching him said he was fine the day before so we had no idea what was wrong.
We took him to the vet and figured out, not only does he have really bad arthritis in his knee, he was also running a really high fever and had lost 4lbs. We got xrays and blood work done for results to come back as him having a bacterial infection.
In the end, we got him an antibacterial injection, some painkillers to help his arthritis and the tests so our bill was a good $300.
Now, everything was fine when we got home; Dante slept for a bit and then was back to his normal self. He was completely normal in fact (other than a small limp) until today. After his dinner about an hour in, he starts projectile vomiting. He vomits 4 or 5 giant piles and starts gagging and dry heaving and panting. We took him to the bathroom and got him some water, made a little bed in case he started puking again.
That was around 11pm, it is now almost 7am. I've been awake since watching him carefully. He's still really lethargic and his fur is really poofy, his nose is dry, ears are hot and his third eyelids are showing and pink. He's really weak and sleepy. BUT. He also had no trouble drinking a lot of water after getting sick, he ate normally, and he pooped after throwing up and it was normal looking for a cat turd (though extremely long like a human's.....)
I guess what I'm trying to say is, I need help. Dante is almost 11 years old, he's old for a cat but not that old as I've had a lot of people tell me their cats are almost 20. He's strictly an indoor cat, very pampered and is afraid of the outside unless he's going on a car ride. He's my best friend and therapy cat. Not officially, but when I was living with my parents he was the only thing keeping me alive since I knew no one else would take care of him (until I met my gf of course)
Would anyone have any advice for me? Like maybe your cat has gone through something similar? I'm making sure everything is okay with him, and watching his breathing pattern. He doesn't get sick that often so when he does I freak out and this is by far the sickest I've seen him. I'm so worried...can't sleep...keep having anxiety attacks. Anything anyone could tell me would be appreciated so much...
ALSO. About the commissions thing from the top, Until May I'm an independent who can barely afford rent and the rent I was building up now goes to the vet bill we had to pay for. So basically I'm kinda screwed right now...especially if I have to take him back for a check up soon- they want him to come in on February for his shots and a follow up.
After I get these last few commissions done in my queue, I'm opening hella commissions, unlimited slots- anything goes, perhaps even PWYW comms. I just have to know if anyone would be interested in buying so I'd have an idea and what to say turn around time estimates would be.
So please comment here or note me if you would be interested. I would love any and all input you could give me. I'll make the official commission posts when I'm done with my currents but commenting or shouting out would help me a ton. I also really hate to just ask for money but if you are willing to help or just wanna slide a donation, you can to:

Though if you do donate, please tell me and I'll draw you something anyways ; m;
Thank you for taking the time to read this long wall of crybaby text and thank you so much if you decide to help in any way <3
