Thank you, thank you!
I'm interessted to know because I really enjoy doing both, and would like to put out more of each in the future, but if there is a clear preference for digital art, I might hold back on doing more trad stuff.
I would enjoy a balance of both, but that's just me x) Also by the way, is everything worked out for you now, if I remember correctly you were moving and stuff. Can we expect a more active Pranktail soon C:?
That's good to hear, because that's what I'm planning to put out!
Yeah; although I'm still not having any internet at home currently; I'm at work right now. I'm expecting to get some connection set up at home sometimes next month! I plan to be more active and do streams again, too!
Honestly, i went to check your gallery, because i immediately wanted to say digital, but did not fully remember what your traditional works look like, and by just looking at the thumbnails, i couldn't tell which was which from a lot, so i'm also going to say both! :D Hoping to see your work soon in my inbox again. ;)
That's quite interessting to hear, bc I thought that my digital art was definitely more on the shinier side while the trad work is more uh, gritty/textured?
Anyway, thank you, and I plan to make more art in the near future!
Still have some commissions to finish, too!
Thank you! This account started with digital work so I will never brush it aside, I just wondered how well-received the trad work was, since I prefer to do that con-side!
(plus it's more fun messing around with and usually faster to produce vs digital art where I seem to stress more over getting every little detail 'right')
Generally I lean more toward traditional. I suppose part is because it's less forgiving than digital, so I feel like I'm getting a truer insight into the artist's skill--when you screw up with, say, ink or watercolor, you're often forced to improvise around it, which takes a bit more imagination than hitting ctrl-Z. Mostly though, digital too often has a sort of plasticky look I find unappealing outside of graphic arts like logos and such. There are ways around that, it just doesn't seem to be seen much around here. But that's all speaking in general, not specifically about your art.
In looking through your gallery, your digital works seem to have a higher level of finish, while your traditional tends to stick closer to sketch phase. Naturally the more finished work will have more appeal. I think you do fine with both, but I'd be interested in seeing you take traditional a bit further (though I like seeing sketches too!)
I definitely agree about traditional art forcing you to work around errors you made, and digital work looking more refined due to endless possibilities of fixing/overpainting mistakes.
I kinda like the shiny/plastic-y look quite a lot; it's what originally did draw me in to digital works I guess, the vibrance of colors and the opaque look of the colors, also how shiny it can come across.
I guess a very early inspiration for what I am putting out on this account was Evana, I just loved how soft and shiny her works looked :)
I will probably keep producing both but trying to put more of a focus on digital art.
Thank you for your comment!
Hohohoho, your are quite skilled with trad art yourself, am I feeling a lil bias here? :)
Also I hope I'll be able to meet you sometimes on a future con again!
Well, I love all your artwork. Digital and traditional. But I remember a piece of Art that I liked the most: I think it was a gift for your sister? A poster with zombies and mixed media. Mixed/combined traditional and digital. These pics amaze me whenever I see them. Would like to see more Art from you. ^^

I agree, especially sketches can seem more dynamic!
