What area did you find it in?
From the picture I couldn’t tell (I’m on my phone so the image is small), where it’s broken does it look porous?
Does it hang on to your hand when you lick it and stick it to your hand for a good while?
Sorry for all the questions^^; I used to work for a small dinosaur museum and assisted with field excavation/work.

I honestly don't remember where I picked it up, it's been a while. Might have taken it from the river (Austria), I like bringing interesting looking rocks home sometimes.

I tried and it doesn't stick to my hand when I lick it, but it's also pretty heavy. The outside feels rough-ish, looks like it does have pores?
The inside is pretty smooth (and black)

I’m going to agree with  bluzebra that it’s a really cool looking flint nodule. They can sometimes look like bones! But it’s still a pretty neat looking flint nodule. Keep up the rock hounding, you never know what you may find!

And no problem, I like puzzles and identifying things like these. :)

Yeah someone else on twitter said it could be a flint node, and after googling for some pics (bc I didn't know what that was haha) I agree, I think this is what I found!
It's kinda cool it looks like a femur even if it isn't one :D

Hey there, I do mineral ID on instagram and contribute to the mineral ID thread on the mindat.org mineral forums. What you have there is a nodule of flint. Although it looks like a bone, it's not... however, flint is associated with sedimentary deposits that do contain fossils (usually shells, and other marine fossils, etc...) and there are theories that the silica that makes up the flint originated from marine organisms like sponges.
