Welcome back! It's good to see that most of what is going on is normal and something positive. I think James will be okay in time. I was like that once (toddler ish age), only I started out in my own room lol. Does he like night lights?

yes thank goodness things are settling! Well for us anyway lol bf's sister is going off the rails for some reason but that's another story.

He does like night lights but he prefers staring at them XD Although he has been doing much better once we figured out that most of his problem was a closed door. So we just leave it open at night and during nap time so he knows we are there

Oh my; poor thing. Sometimes the upsets in life redirect people though. I hope for the best possible outcome for her. :/
