I feel awkward and kinda needy when I say this, but I feel like this is the only place where I can vent without getting backlash from family and people on other social media.

I think that's everyone, tbh. I have people who understand me and how I think, and have talked me off of some very high places, but I don't have that singular person who just makes everything /right/.

In my opinion, it's always good to just let it all out instead of holding it in. Your venting didn't sound needy or awkward at all. Just gotta keep your chin up. You'll bump into that very someone that will anchor down with you.
