Farewell my Zachary Softfur Onyxpaw. Softfur for having the softest fur I’ve petted on any cat. Onyxpaw for the black fur on the bottom of your paws. I will miss watching TV since you had always jumped up into my lap 2 seconds after I sat in my chair. I will miss trying to sleep on those nights you lay next to me and licked my arm. I will miss having to wake up at 2am when you’ve made a litterbox deposit and never bothered to cover it up. I will miss you drooling while I petted you.

I hated taking you one last time to the vet. But you just lay there in the tub. You were having trouble breathing and mewed and stumbled when you moved. I had to end your pain, even though it meant saying goodbye.

The Vet performed a Necropsy and Zach had an aggressive form of Lymphoma. It hit him hard and fast with massive number of tiny tumors grew all over his organs. Nothing, no medicine, no surgery, could have saved him. Makes me relieved I took him one last time, but doesn’t cheer me up.

RIP Zachary Softfur Onyxpaw. I will miss you.
