i took this from keefur ! i usually don't do journal quizzes but i thought "why not"
1. Been in the fandom for...
about 6 months now? i have been interested in the fandom for a few years, but never got into it because of the bad connotations and because of a certain someone... but after a bad breakup (they didn't want me to be a furry) i was like "to hell with that!!" and fully plunged myself into the fandom.
2. Found the fandom how?
originally it was from stories from tumblr about how "bad furries are". then when i started getting into the fandom, it was from a youtube video about "what furries were" from majira strawberry
3. Chose your species cuz...
i chose a cat because they're my favorite animal! also when i was little i wanted to be a cat, so through being a furry i can express that. my fursona is a tuxedo cat because that was the breed of my first cat
4. why/how did you choose your name?
well i was on one of those baby name sites, looking for names for my fursona. i found the name "naoko" which means "straight child". i then had an awesome idea- why not combine that name and "nya" (japanese suffix for cat)?! that was how the name "nyako" came about. (so her name literally means "meow child" hahaha)
5. if you had to change your species what would you choose?
hm... probably a mouse? or a opossum. maybe a dog? that's a hard question.
6. What percentage of your friends are furries?
i'd probably only say 5%! i don't know a lot of furries
7. If you've been, favorite furry con and why?
i've only been to one which is arkconsas, so i guess that one? however i did have a fun time, it was the most friendly and relaxed convention i've ever been to <3
8. Got a fursuit?
as of now i have a partial! i plan on making the full body suit when i'm 18 (gotta wait for myself to stop growing)
9. RP'ing is:
something i do to have fun as my characters.
10. Are you open about being a furry, I.E if it comes up in conversation
yes! and i always make sure the other person is well informed on what a furry is
11. Gay / Straight / bi?
i'm gay! specifically polysexual (this is the attraction of multiple genders- i'm into everyone but males). i should also mention that i'm trans, i identify as agender (not having a gender). being gay and trans is just a part of who i am!
(i also feel like i should clarify that my fursona is a female who is a lesbian- she doesn't reflect me at all (besides species + she's pink))

13. Do you have adult art of your fursona? If yes, post favorite
nope! i have gore art of her though
14.Ever hooked up with another fur? If yes, ever done it at a con?

I found the story about how you named your character very interesting. I am also glad you enjoyed the con. Next year... and it looks like it will happen, I am sure we will have many more attendees. I think the snow really messed us up, especially with it being the first year.

thank you! i thought the story of your name was interesting too, and how it was after your dog at the time. i'm excited for next year as well! i think the snow messed us up too, especially since most arkansans are not used to snow (also central arkansas has poor resources for winter equipment).
