Clinic Update
Okay, so I got back from the clinic (and doing stuff in town), and they verified that it is indeed MRSA. But instead of cutting me open and cleaning out the wound, they basically just put me on antibiotics and pain killers.
They also advised that I use a heat-compress on my sore to draw out the infection. As for the pains in my head and back, they told me that it was likely the pressure of the sore pressing on the nerves in my neck rather than the infection burrowing, and I'm hoping that to be true. The practitioner didn't look at it very closely at all, basically she just took one look at it and said "yeah, that looks like a staph infection" (which is what MRSA is).
Although all of my vitals seem normal, so let's hope it hasn't started burrowing yet...
I'll start doing a hot-compress each night, with a rag soaked in Epsom Salt water, to try pulling out the infection, and continue with the hydrogen peroxide cleaning, and ointment. And obviously, I'll be staying on top of my antibiotics, two a day every day for the next week.
I'll also be keeping a close eye on it, to make sure it doesn't get any worse.
So let's all hope that this MRSA outbreak just goes away without too much issue over the next few days.
I'll try to keep you guys updated on the status along the way ;3

Sorry, I'm a stickler for details sometimes. I hope you recover without issue and that everything goes well regarding your treatment!
Plus I heard what the clinic said when my stepdad went in for treatment.
