Update on my current status / art slowdown

Well I haven't really made an official post of myself here, so I probably should at this point...
Hey! To those who didn't know me yet, I just started towards a Masters in Computer Graphics Technology at Purdue University just several weeks ago. I've always wanted to shift from pure software engineering into a field that's more about creative usage of technology, so this program is a really good fit for me! As of a result, I simple won't have time to make as many drawings, and certainly not the paintery styles that I used to do a lot in the past. Since I've never really focused on a quick-style, it will be a challenge for me to transition towards less-detailed but stylized pieces. I'm still experimenting a lot, but this has also lead to a lot of art blocks as well. Because I'm back at uni, I do not plan to open commissions anytime soon until I feel like I have sufficient time.
One big project I'm currently working on is going to be a short 3D-animated film. Since I'm working on my film independantly and I have full creative control, it's going to feature a brief story that Ruolina and I had planned out for a while. As a result, the short will feature a couple of our OC's! From someone who has had barely any official experience in modeling and animating, the process is a big challenge to me. I'll post any worthy updates time to time here, but all of the details will be organized at http://chengjustin7.wixsite.com/cgt341 for sure.
I'm also involved with Purdue's PAAC ( http://www.furaffinity.net/user/purduefurs ), because I'm surprised that there's an actual official furry meet on my campus. It's neat to finally be able to participate in a place where I actually do share a common ground with other students (because it honestly felt like I had nothing in common with anyone I met in my undergraduate years lol).
So far the start of 2017 has been a lot of work, but I'm actually excited about what I can achieve rather than my undergraduate years which honestly felt like a drag.
