Clip My Wings

I have always had a bad view of work. The fact that everyone I know seemingly hates their job doesn't help any. Now that I'm looking for a new one of my own, I'm reminded of how much I hate work and how utterly pointless the working world is.
I mean... why do people work? To make money. That money is spent so they can maintain the status quo of living.
So they can go back and work more.
Of course, the only alternative is death, and I hardly think I even have to say that that's out.
Grown-up life is not fun. I've come to the conclusion that I'm addicted to fun. I can't give it up. And the prospect of going to the same place every day to do something I probably won't even like just so I can... keep doing it, is downright depressing.
Meh. The real world clips my wings. What kind of a life is this?

some of the more fun things require more work to get there
I considered getting into that market, but with competition the way it is, and the pay tiers... I figured it might just be easier to go into business applications and get my master's in computer science.
And if you work really hard, you may even be able to afford to enjoy yourself in the few hours you're not working.
