Becoming a veteran soon.

Hello everybody, hope you are all doing well on this lovely day.
Not going to well over on my side of the woods now. Just got the news yesterday that my military career is coming to a close.
After suffering an injury to my shoulder during adventurous training in the Alps back in 2015, going through an operation to try and get rid of the pain and get more rage of motion to my shoulder. It's just not enough for me to keep my job. I've been serving in the British Army for over 7 years now, n well... its fucking scary knowing I'm going to have to change my lifestyle in a huge way to adapt to the civilian life.
So with this my funds are probably going to take a nosedive for a good while as I get on my feet and get into the job market n such. So all my fun arts will have to slow down and heck, this means I have to focus a bit more on self teaching myself how to do my own artwork until I can get back into the swing of getting more artwork done.
If any of you from the UK have any pro-tips on civilian life stuffs that could help me out, please fire them off in my direction ^_^
All the best to you fuzzballs

Edit: I did forget to mention that my last day will be the 30th May... so dam don't have a ton of time to mess about with there >.<

Remember, start looking now for a home and job, and if you don't know your discharge date yet, let your prospective employer(s) and home agents know when you do. You have resources available to you to help in changing from a strict, regulated environment to a far more relaxed environment, take advantage of them and use them to their fullest extent.
I don't know how things work for the British Veterans organization, but I hope that you are going to get a severance package and hopefully a disability stipend. It is a safe bet that you are going to be getting a discharge physical which can go a long ways towards getting a a decent disability stipend.
At the moment I will be alright for a home as I will be crashing with the Mom for a bit until I get my own place, best to start with renting a place before making the jump to paying for a house/flat.
I do have something lined up to get into when I do get out but I am definitely going to be looking into as many options as I can, the resettlement team here is being such a great help to get me sorted. The only thing catching up to me is just how short a time frame I got to try and get this all sorted out >.<
