Pipe, parts, materials, made from and/or could be.
some say I am crazy, and I'd say that they're at least half right.
I do not currently make pipes, though I have a great love of them, and so I wrote out these lists and definitions relating to pipes.
The three main parts" of any pipe are:
the Bowl – This is where the tobacco or other herb, or mix of herbs are burned.
the Stem* – This is the middle of the pipe, that connects the bowl to the bit.
and the Bit – this is the mouth piece, or where the lip of the pipe is meant to meet the lips to be smoked.
"these are still the names of these areas on a one piece pipe.
*most modern pipes, if they are made to be separated for storage and/or for a filter, do so somewhere along the stem and/or at its ends or middle.
The three, Secondary common/possible body parts, of a pipe:
the Shank – maybe part of the bowl, or connects to the bowl, and to the stem.
the Filter – is generally a piece of metal or fine screen, and/or fiber of some type, and is placed within the stem, or at the bit end of the stem.
the Lip – the raised ring at the end of the bit or the stem, if the bit is not a separate part from the stem.
The four, common/possible decorative parts of a pipe:
the Cap or Crown – any decorative nonflammable upper part, or attachment to, or around the opening of the bowl, and/or that can cover the opening.
the Feet – any decorative protrusions located either on the bottom of the: bowl, stem, and/or bit, that are designed to let the pipe stand upright on any hard surface without letting the bit and/or lip touch the surface that it is resting on.
the Scarff or Rings – any decorative nonflammable part(s), or attachment(s) to, designed to fit around and/or at the ends of the stem.
and the Mane or Tails – any decorative part(s), that are designed to hang or trail from the pipe while it is being held or smoked.

the Materials!, I will list only Herbs" here, that pipes have been used to have smoked, or that can be used within a pipe to smoke, either alone or as part of a mixture.
!I simply will not list any smokable chemicals, though I am aware that they exist.
"All of these have their own risk of Toxicity, Allergic reaction, and/or Legality.
if you try anyone of them, you are doing so, at your own risk.
this is not a list that I am recommending to anyone."
the four most common herbs! for smoking are;
Tobacco,
Coca,
Hemp,
and/or Opium.
there is a Long list of other less common herbs! that have been used for smoking and/or that could be smoked, in fact so long that I have given up trying to list them all here.
