A thought on Super Mario Bros 3

Who doesn't like SMB3? It's like everyone's favorite NES game, But while listening to someone play through it I had a thought:
Maybe there was too much new stuff in that game, I say that cause there's a lot of good stuff that was brand new and... never used again like kuribo's shoe, buzzy beetles (the flying things you can ride) or even the death waffle things.
I know this isn't like the biggest things ever, just something I've noticed.

Kuribo's shoe returns in Mario Maker, for the record, Buzzy Beetles were around since SMB 1, the flying variant makes its return in Mario Maker too. And by death waffle, are you talking about the orbs? THat right there is the only thing to not return.

True, but there's been how many years between SMB3 and MM? Besides, I can't recall everything that wasn't re-used, like the winged goombas with the slowing offspring, or the jumping blocks, or the fire things that jump around in the desert.

oh, definitely, there's a lot out of SMB3 that wasn't reused as well. But here's the thing. It's known Canon that SMB 3 is merely a play. I was listing the things you mentioned.
