I probably should have asked this years ago but how important is it that I acknowledge people who've followed me? I go to everyone's profile who follows me, and often their shouts are mostly people thanking them for a follow, but I don't know if that's just an optional bit of decorum or something I'm supposed to do?
If you do feel inclined to do it, though, I always found it a little nicer be a bit more creative about it. I don't have any examples, though.
