the only thing I can think of is to take it to a computer shop.

I'm probably going to have to do that;; Back when my mac died, my mom n I took it to one and that's how i found out that the hard drive was still working. But I just forgot to ask him how to get my files off of it (because I just figured it worked like an usb flash drive??? but nope nope definitely not )
