New to glasses, send help?
Due to my vision doing crazy stuff for over a year, as explained here:
http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8110235/
I got my eyes examined, and though the doctor didn't really seem to listen when I tried to explain that my vision goes crazy at seemingly random times (aside from casually saying its could from eye strain and possibly low blood pressure. But didn't really diagnose the problem or ask me to go into detail), I was told I have astigmatism and was given a prescription for glasses despite having 20/20 vision.
I do a lot of squinting, and my eyes feel a bit crossed but my vision is never blurry. Aside from my eyes feeling tired, and the occasional crazy oscillating vision + dilated pupil I'd say I'm mostly okay.
But I got a prescription for single vision glasses.
The doctor didn't really, explain. much of anything.
I was told tow ear them when reading or at the computer. I spend 10+ hours at the computer so thats pretty much all day unless Im driving, honestly.
So I just, have no idea what to expect with suddenly being given glasses to wear.
So I have glasses now, but I feel like its harder to see with them on.
The guys at the frame store said it'd take a while for my eyes to get adjusted to these new glasses, but I'm sort of half-panicked and half-okay.
Anyone who has gotten glasses a bit later in their life, or remembers getting their first ever pair of glasses, did you find text on paper/screens a little blurrier or difficult to read? I'm not totally destroying my vision if I wear these for two weeks trying to get used to them right?

If you prefer headphones, those and glasses don't mix. The arms will be pressed against your skull and lead to pain. Do stretch them out by placing the ears over your computer tower overnight. Otherwise, get headphones that uses memory foam for the ears.
You can ask me about anything if you want more information.
I got glasses in 5th grade when I was no longer able to see the board at school and had minor headache problems, which are fairly normal, but I could overall see better. You should not be seeing worse with them on. If they don't seem to improve anything, please avoid wearing them!! You don't want more wrong with your eyes.
I would also try to take a break from screens for a while OR spend less time on them. I know this thought sucks but your eyes aren't made to look at screens for extended period of time. Take a break and just rest ur eyes or go for a walk. Something that doesn't strain your vision should be good (Even reading a book!) Taking away an hour a day could help. Again, please see another doctor if you feel like this one wasn't listening to you.
I've had glasses for as long as I remember, but it's due to nearsightedness.
