Have I ever mentioned I'm really, really bad at keeping you guys up to date? So, when I last posted a journal, it was the absolute worst time to decommission a car/have it break down. I've run on junkers for the last six years of driving, and as such, my policy on them has been to not exceed what I spent on the car in repairs at one time. Real easy to do when you only buy the car for a few hundred bucks, right? Heck, I think I've been buying art more expensive than that! LOL.
Anyhow, it was the coldest week of the winter when my truck went, and I went to look into financing. I pushed out on my own to find the financing I'd require to get ahead of the weather when I had to work again (wasn't walking in freezing weather). I went to a Dodge dealership with a lot of positive reviews, looking at Dodge Chargers (I like sporty and sedans are roomy, sue me! Ha ha.) because they were in my financing range. The one I really wanted? Just outside of the range. They pulled out a list of cars though, and I found a fully loaded Chevrolet Impala from 2012! Reading reviews, checking into its history. The only downside? My dad gave me a panic attack the night I told him. In the morning though, he called me up and told me he was really proud of me. I'd secured financing on my own, and picked out a pretty good car! He came with me to get it, and looked it over himself.
So anyhow, this is the absolute newest car I've ever had, and I really love it. Too bad I'm looking for new work tho. xD
