Well. I forgot to say, but. I went to Warped Tour last Friday, as in June 26th, 2009 in Pomona, California with one of my furriends.
It was genuinely sick, although, I would have liked to see more of Prada's show, only got to witness the first three songs, then the final breakdown of "Hey John, What's Your Name Again?", which was both amazing and rather upsetting. I might be going again in August, so, maybe I'll get a chance to become entranced by Mike Hranica's unpleasantly displaced mustache, but rather nice screaming! O:
Besides TDWP, I got to see the end of Escape The Fate's show, which was.. The Guillotine Pt. 2, and that was amazing. Then I chilled in the Rock Band booth with
huzkiee, the friend who accompanied me to Warped. Then he got caught up in a tournament, which led me back to Prada's final song AND A Skylit Drive playing. Holy shit, I've never heard a guy sing so high in my life! Like, seriously, Jag sounds just as good live as he does in studio which was surprising. Haha. We wandered around for a bit after that, kinda' went over to booths and shopped. Kona played the guitar and shit at the Guitar Center booth, then we sat and rested while listening to NOFX from afar. After that, we made our way over to see Senses Fail, which, I didn't really know about, so I felt out of place. Then we saw that Dance Gavin Dance was gonna' be playing on the stage where Sense Fail was, so, we waited around, listened to Meg & Dia play, which was awkward, because the crowd didn't seem too involved with them, so.. Haha. But oh my god, as soon as DGD started playing, the crowd was hopping and cheering and everything! Seriously, even I sang along. The cool thing they did though was singing an old song from Downtown Battle Mountain (The first full length album by Dance Gavin Dance, with their old lead singer, Jonny Craig), which, Kurt Travis (New lead singer of DGD) definitely covered well enough to enjoy. (:
After that, I got walking to the front gate, saw my dad pull up, gave
huzkiee a bro-fist, then left.
Great day, great day.
