I mean, I know people seem to like it... many start watchign me everytime I upload something and the pictures get many favorites as well.
Yet noone bothers to actually take his time and give a feedback.

I see so many other people being overrun with feedback... but then again, I guess they are simply more popular.
So far I was willing to guess, that commenting is just too much effort for some. It's easier to be lazy and just hit 'Favorite', then actually writing a comment.

It's true. I'm terrified of saying the wrong thing to someone and that person hating me for it.

Yeah. Most people will be lazy nowadays and never out effort into really anything. They'll watch you, favorite your stuff, but never really comment or say anything at all to you.

I'm always welcoming to share comments and feedback with someone who does the same for me.
I'm even fine with someone simply asking me, if I'd comment on something - I like to do so!

I know with me personally, I almost never comment on art because in my own personal experience, the person whose picture it is, never replies back. But I am freaking crazy over your giant, sexy Björn. I'll try and break out of my shell and comment more. ^^

That's normal around here, actually~ And it could be because of two things: People are too busy pawing off to stop and leave a comment, and in this particular case, because of the straight content. I've noticed that m/m stuff get way more attention, which includes comments.

M/M is not my thing, so that is nothing I'll be uploading. But I believe there should be more than enough to take a liking in the kind of stuff I share in my gallery. :)

heh, certainly. Well, you may find this kinda weird, but even being straight in RL, I enjoy m/m stuff on here quite a lot. And it's surely very nice to see that nice length you have, along with a big flare for example ;)

I like the characters with all their assets. Of course.
But I enjoy seeing them in a more straight content. But that is simply individual preference.

It also helps to leave tags on your pictures, thus allowing whatever keywords searched for, to result in your art being apart of the query. Just a suggestion! I personally noticed an increase in "viewership" when added tags to my pieces, versus not doing so. c:

Sometimes very generic, basic ones are the best. While it may not directly lead to more comments, at least more people will "see" your art should their search include your tag. <3

Figured as much. But it wouldn't hurt so promote it to a broader audience.
Even if no comments are posted, more people might enjoy the content. ^^

I am baffled every time. Thinking you surely deserve way more comments.

The truth is, after the buyout to IMVU, a very large portion of people told Dragoneer to fuck off and left. My work very rarely gets over 200 views anymore. Granted there is this mentality that people don't like to comment on anything because they might feel embarrassed to let people know what they're looking at, but I can guarantee that it's because of the huge exodus to other galleries. People really did not like that FA was "sold out" and how the site was being run in general and that was the last straw. So, don't worry, it's not you or anything you're doing.

Yeah, I've followed it since the buyout, at first most of us thought people were just blowing smoke and they'd just "get over it", but I have watched my views steadily decline over the past year and a half and comments are so low, it's not just people not wanting to leave comments.

I have also noticed a lot of people that do post aren't particularly social either, I rarely see replies from people who do comment, though I will give them the benefit of the doubt if they are busy and can't respond, but I do remember getting a lot more replies to comments as well. I think it's a little bit of everything and it has essentially created a "perfect storm" of sorts.

I wouldn't look to much into to it; I don't get many comments either. If I receive more than two or three on a picture, that is a lot of comments for me. Anywho, like other's have mentioned, the traffic on this site has gone down a little bit. Try branching out, posting to multiple sites.

HentaiFoundry would likely be a good place to share your stuff as well; just do know that new accounts have to have all their submissions approved first, so it will take a bit for stuff to get uploaded. However, once you have a good handful approved, you'll be allowed to upload freely. Cheers.

It comes and goes; I wouldn't go there specifically for comments, but it is definitely worth spreading your content over multiple sites for more exposure

I know how you feel though about not getting much to any comments on your stuff, granted my stuff is cheap not that amazing ych's (But I still love that I have them!) not the amazing stuff you have though. I'm kinda surprised you are not getting that many comments on your stuff. I'd comment more but I'm too lazy to dig through my thousands of uploaded submissions ;.=.;

Im in the same long boat as you are. I never recieve many comments on my art or even journals. I know im not like...a big time fur and im definetly no artist but nice comments would be well...nice. but ive learned to just not take it personal and just keep doing what ive been doing. I mean its less mail for me to clear out right? Lol. I do plan on raiding your gallery with favs here soon

I don't expect to have 100+ comments as some of the popular people here on FA. But 3-4 would make me really happy, knowing others enjoy what I share with them and having them come around and exchange courtesy as friends. ^^

Well if this helps, as a whole, all the work ive seen in your gallery looks amazing. Definetly my style when it comes to our fondness for nordic culture.

This is a big trend that I've started to notice as well. A year ago if I posted a good image I could break through 100 faves easily. With a hand full of comments. Now its like I'm struggling to get to even 40 faves and 1 comment. Either something is going on behind the scenes or people just don't bother anymore.

Well, I will remain being a comment-happy observer. I enjoy letting others know what I think about their art and/or OCs, and I'm also always happy when they reply.

I comment when I can! Regardless of every getting replies out of people lol !

It looks as those most have covered all that needs to be said.

But let me add this.

Most of humanity is crushingly conceited. They seek only their own immediate satisfaction and they know that if you disappear, 12 others will take your place.

FA has always been a lonely realm, compared with others, but to one degree or the other, this is true everywhere.

You post art here because you enjoy it and hope another may enjoy it too. Never look for a reciprocating relationship betwixt artist and viewer though. This is a deeply passive site, rather like a TV broadcast- all one way, even if no one tunes in.

As a writer, I see people look at my work...

They never fave... They never comment... They pass as ghosts, unseen before my eyes, yet leaving the faintest of echoes that they were there.

Even if someone said, "Hey! That story of yours really sucked!" it would be something.

But to feel the ghosts pass in the night, saying nothing, touching nothing, changing nothing, passing without my understanding any of what they have seen or read or felt... this is most hurtful.

Yes, I understand what it feels like.

But 1,000 plus watchers- you are doing something right. You should consider that to be a rather significant endorsement my friend!

I have been at this for a decade now- and I have 98 watchers. When one use to leave- I was crushed. But I soon realized that if I write only to please others, I am not doing what I want to do. Unless you are being paid, writing for others is pointless.

Now if someone is paying you- here is the highest compliment you can receive!

I don't know if you are commissioned, but if you are- well done. Parting with money is the single most sincere compliment a person can give.

And lastly, Furs can be incredibly... inconsiderate. Far more than the population at large. Perhaps a better word is, uncaring. They simply don't care that you might want feedback or appreciation.

But there are some really beautiful people here too. People who care about others.

And I see by the number of comments here in this journal, that many people do care about you friend. Trust me, I wish I could get five replies on anything I post- and as a writer, I pour my heart into my work every bit as much as an artist.

When you have 10,000 watchers, you might reach the level of appreciation you seek. Keep it up- you seem to be rising quickly!

It's important to remember that words are not required to find something appealing.
Personally? I see comments as a bonus, not a requirement; not even enough so for me to feel disdain if I find none. I get the art I get because I want to, not because it's more or less likely to give me more attention and thus more comments. Getting artwork and not only hoping, but expecting, feedback for it, is not gonna garner you anything but disappointment.

Just do what I do; get artwork if you want, when you want(and if you can, obviously). Do it for yourself, not for others. An example is that I could be getting zero watches, zero comments, zero favorites, etc. and I wouldn't give a flying damn. My artwork is for my personal enjoyment which I've chosen to share publicly for people to enjoy if they want! I do neither expect nor request they do so, it's entirely their own choice whether to do so or not.
