I'M MOVING TO VANCOUVER! Also looking for places to stay D:
Welcome to my Journal!
Hey all! Hope you've been well :)
Big announcement today! In one month I will be leaving my homeland of the UK and heading across the pond to start a new life in Vancouver, Canada!
I'm leaving my rural, simple life behind, to seriously pursue my career as an animator, among other things.
For those of you that have been up to date with my home life, you already know the basics. For those that don't here's a brief recap.
My family are not art-centric so to speak. They don't appreciate the work that I do as real work, and, as a freelancer that's makes life extremely difficult. I am constantly pulled from my work and am unable to give it 110% because my family feel my life should be focused on other things...like them.
Because of this attitude (and a mix of depression and lack of sleep), I'm not making the money I had hopes from freelancing. A friend of mine told me about all the job opportunities in Canada and I feel like maybe this is the time to finally move out and start life as an independent adult!
If you'd like a more detailed idea of what's been going on, I do have a post here all about it: http://ledazblog.tumblr.com/post/15.....date-moving-on
THIS IS WHERE YOU GUYS COME IN
So as of right now I have no place to actually stay in Canada. My visa is all approved, all I have to do is pick it up when I arrive in Vancouver.
I can stay in a hostel or something, but realistically I would like to have somewhere more stable (and less expensive) to stay, so I can immediately focus on important things like getting a job and organising anything else to make live in this new place easier (and cheaper).
I am looking for ANYONE in the Vancouver area who can rent out a simple room for me to stay in while I get myself sorted out on arrival.
-I can pay rent as soon as I arrive
-I'm quiet
-I don't drink or smoke cigarettes.
-I'm very clean and tidy and am happy to help around the house
-I'm also super open minded, so don't worry if you're on the eccentric side, I can guarantee I've been around weirder :P
-I'm house trained!
-I'm super friendly and although quiet, I love to chat and socialise! However I am super respectful of people's private space.
If I sound like someone you wouldn't mind having around the house, please get in touch! If you know someone that might be looking for a roommate to help bring down rent costs or just make life a little easier for them, send them my way!
I can provide references when requested too :)
If you can't host me and don't know anyone that can, you can always help by just spreading this journal around, or donating a small amount to my KoFi to help me when I hit Canadian soil - all proceeds will go to food and any unforeseen travel expenses (but mostly food).

Thank you for reading all this, next time you see me, I might be a mounty!
