Yeah, Japanese takes on a pretty different shape than English in general, and he's pretty dense with the way he sings to begin with. A lot of his songs are basically short stories, put to music, haha.

I have to have it quiet to draw. It's the only time in my life I want/need quiet.

I second this. Listening to anything just makes my brain feel distracted and slow while I'm drawing.

Yeah, sometimes I draw better when it's quiet too. Buuuuut sometimes I just need to sing along to something, haha.

Oh! I listened to Beethoven's 7th (2nd movement) over and over again for like, a week. It was great

I actually tend to have sad or slow music playing when I draw something more melancholy...

I pretty much have my 'Emo' station (Savage garden themed), Punk station (acceptance/Reliant K), Trace, and then my Grunge/NuMetal one O_o its really nice, and a good way to find new music.

Kathy Griffin/Eddie Izzard/Eddie Murphy/Margaret Cho/Wanda Sykes stand-up routines and/or whatever the hell I have in iTunes at that given moment (usually an assortment of Aerosmith, Guns N' Roses, and every big 'pop' artist from the 90s).

Haha, stand-up is pretty great for drawing.

People seem to be forgetting about "regular" radio on various levels today, it's kinda weird.
I love the random content that radio delivers unlike a playlist or clickable media like Pandora.

I listen to Kawaii-Radio. It's the J-Rock station you get if you have a PSP, but I just listen to the computer online broadcast. And the simple reason it works? Because I dont focus on the words, just the sounds since it's in another language. :3 It makes good upbeat background noise, especially if you find a song you like since you can request songs and they'll play 'em as soon as possible (according to how many requests there are queued).

Incidentally, I dont generally listen to J-Pop/J-Rock at any other time, just when I'm working on something. :3

really depends on what i'm drawing but some of my favorite things are putting on The Maxx or Amelie in the background and listening to that, or maybe just some Radiohead :3

Oh! Amelie would make great drawing music...why haven't I tried this before.
