Thank you everyone for your suggestions and we look forward to the new release of our next companion!
Or ones based off of Bees or spiders?
How about centipede, I think there could be a lot of styles of body shapes you could play around with, such as longer, or more modular looking body types, maybe with a long tail? I think the centipede face is lovely with it's massive mandibles so perhaps they would be fun to play around with too?
Though I also have an idea for a more guard dog type companion (if still anthro somehow), perhaps a scorpion or such. Strong gripping claws (can be fingers with points and strong grip, or actual claws and maybe a second pair of limbs) and a stingy pokey tail that can be capped for safety with something, and easily removed for any sort of defense (or attack).
I also wonder about a construction/home projects type companion. Something to help with small wooden projects or even building a shed, things like that. Strong. My mind goes to dung beetles, but there's ants and many other types of construction oriented buggies.
And I also think about "show" companions, which could be anywhere from butterflies and moths to beetles to just any darn pretty thing. Pets raised and bred for beauty and showing off. Vanity pets as well as companions.
And then companions to help decorate your "nest".
Housekeeping or gardener types of bugs...
Bees! Bumble, honey, carpenter. Did you know they come in blue? http://static.new.tuoitre.vn/tto/r/.....3/GKCiRPxB.jpg (blue malaysia carpenter bee)

I'm likin all this good gorgeous bug content so far, my goodness. <3
Maybe a demure little orchid mantis girl? I prefer natural colors myself but let your imagination soar.
( p.s I second the idea of a centipede. I love those... )
