But really, I sometimes think that it comes down to simple acceptance that you won't get everything done, even if you were motivated to work like a machine and crank through everything, only to burn out on it anyway.

At least you've a complete roof over your head and not an issue of an ever-growing incomplete list of things at work, no?

There's a big difference between trying to take on too much and not getting anything done, though. Of course there is going to be stuff that will remain undone. However, I don't want it to be all of it. So yeah, I am going to have to disagree with just being complacent about never getting anything done.
