Fun with drawling 8D

I've been in art mode for like...MONTHS now. Even after finishing another contest piece that took me from 12am to 11:30am (though I had several breaks in between for a variety of reason), I was still like "MUST DRAAAWWW".
I'm a BEAST, I am. 8D
No, but really, this is great. I really need the constant practice. I've been brain-sucking on tutorials as well in the hopes that they'll help me improve here and there. I'm also trying to be better about doing backgrounds. I do not know what it is about backgrounds, but UGH, I hate doing them! They never look quite right enough to me (probably because I've never practiced drawing in-animate objects Dx).
I'm going to try out this website that was linked in a forum I attend: http://www.posemaniacs.com/pose/thirtysecond.html
I have not tried it yet so I have no real reviews, but the person who posted it really enjoys it! You have thirty seconds to doodle the pose, and then another pops up! You're supposed to do this over and over and over again. I think this will be great because with speed-drawing you learn to hone your skills quickly and, for me, this is a must! I eventually would like to do paid commissions, and people can't be waiting a month between each fargin' drawing.
But anyway...wish me luck! I have entered two contests, but I can not post the entries until the results are out. I think that is fabulous because it allows people to enter and practice and actually TRY really, REALLY hard to make a great pic. Well...it did for me, anyway. x3 I'd love to place...it'd make me look good for commissioning ;DDD
