Posted a response to the poll. I recomend the Scout Shop behind Devonshire mall. Close to busses at the mall parking for everyone else. A large room in the back for bigger gatherings, and two board room types with long tables. The medieval group I am a part of meets there Sunday evenings. The rent is cheap if you get enough people to join in. Bathrooms and a small kitchen on site. You will have to call the Scout Shop for details though. Stop by Sunday night after 7pm to visit with the medieval group and see the site. We are a friendly bunch.

This is a great idea! I haven't been to the Windsor Scout shop since I was a kid! haha. I still have my coleman bag I bought from there.


The main thing with renting space is I have NO idea how many furs can actually afford to since it seems like even getting folks to buy a coffee is out of the question sometimes. (This is not meant to be a dig, just how I see it)


I gotta ruffle some feathers here and get more movement and commitment from the group. It'd probably be a once and a while thing. A regular meeting space would be an ideal 2018 project/goal for us though.

This is true, but it might be a good idea to call the scout shop and ask about the cost for a one time rental vs a regular meeting place. And just plan a bigger gettogether there, once or twice in the year. Like a movie night or something.
