On Art Theft
Lately there have been incidences of what people would consider to be art theft of my works.
First of all, I want to say, "THANK YOU FOR REPORTING THIS!" It is very cool that people care enough to inform me of any kind of theft or copying. The stuff I do is hard work, and sadly I do not have the time to police theft on my own.
My primary concern is when people are MAKING MONEY off of copying my work. This is mainly a concern because I do not want people being ripped off. It sucks to pay someone money only to find out their picture was a trace of a picture that was not meant for them.
In some cases, however, some folks IMITATE the way I draw stuff as a means of getting better.
For instance, some try to imitate the way I do bulges or maw shots.
THIS IS ACTUALLY A GOOD THING. I actually WANT more people to draw vore the way I do.
If imitating my work can make you better at drawing, then by all means do whatever makes you better, but ALWAYS UNDERSTAND THAT YOU WILL NEVER GET BETTER IF YOU JUST RIP OFF PEOPLE, AND IT ONLY MAKES YOU A JERK IF YOU MAKE A PROFIT WHILE DOING SO. Learning is ok, but if you are making a profit off of tracing my stuff, expect your commissioners to be informed of your actions.
If you need help drawing vore, I cannot promise that I will have the time to help, but I will do what I can. Do not be too afraid to ask about how I do what I do if you want to get better at drawing vore. That might be better than trying to trace my works.

There are only three exceptions where I indeed agree that it's wrong: When you don't credit the artist or even worse lie that you or someone else made it, when you make money off it by selling it or placing ads, or when you use it for purposes of trolling or attacking someone. If these three rules aren't broken, I for one believe artists should be more relaxed on this subject... but it is of course each one's choice how they feel about it and tackle the matter.
By the way: If you also believe in the idea of art being free to share (respecting common sense conditions), which I got the impression you do from this and some of your other journals... perhaps you might want to consider becoming a CC artist yourself! I release what I make under the CC-BY-SA license for instance... I figure CC-BY-NC-SA would make the most sense for other artists, but just thought it's an idea worth putting up there and promoting.
I'd love to see some tutorial drawing on how to draw mouths, stomachs full of prey and such!
I absolutely agree; art theft really isn't a problem unless someone's using it for financial gain. Imitating an artist or using stolen work to sell merchandise or promise commissions, that's something I'd probably crack down on. But most cases of art 'theft' are better handled with care and compassion rather than anger. If someone likes your work enough to imitate it, chances are they'd be happy to credit you if you asked.
I'd love to learn from you sometime.
