So, I don't know how to put this..
As anyone (who's familiar with some of the 'bigger persons' on FA) will have noticed by now, Nyx isn't exactly 'original'. A lot of 'inspiration', or what other's would see as 'ripping off', came from the more well known:
NikaSharkeh.
I'll admit, I'm a big fan, and I kept from copying their character as best I could. I'll admit, I like the character, the color palette, and how their character is so well put together. But, I never intended on copying the character/idea/person in general, AT ALL.
Nyx is my character, that I've put money and effort into. She's not NikaSharkeh, she's Nyx...Sharkeh, and has her own personality, friends, and intended concept.
I hope this is better received than Nyx's most recent reference sheet update, where individuals have pointed out the like-ness.
Nyx is Nyx, Nika is Nika.

Your shark OCs and Nika's look lovely and i see no ripoff anywhere between you two, honestly.
You should be proud of your OC, comrade. Really~! ^3^
My character's bio is that he was a clone of a character that used to be on FA, sadly the creator of said character seems to have left, but the point is no less valid.
Keep your chin up, your character is really cool.
I personally think there are parts of your design that could be more... "Yours", but your character still has her own 'feel', which is great!
But I'd still recommend... "Personalizing" her further. Not adding unneccesary originality fodder, but perhaps adding some lore, and/or adding more to the design, just think of things you like of other characters and add them in, of course, be sure those ideas actually suit her.
Some of my thoughts on the matter-!
I'll be sure to keep adding to Nyx to make her 'my own'.
