Yeah I don't like characters who are a bit "too" oversexed or promiscuous, only living for "doing the deed" so to speak.
The pin up is mostly there to show how sexy and attractive she is, and of course because I like pin ups of skunk girls.

I love Shonuff's style because of the Anime-ish looks and would love to order from him whenever he opens up for commissions, but alas that is not possible.
I am trying to learn drawing myself but I am years away from any genuine nice results.

Sadly I think sometimes that the only way to attract more viewers is to put Cy in various adult situations, something I am in general not that comfortable with even though I do not have the character in mind as a prude, just a very selective lover.

And yeah, i understand that trouble, i'm in the same situation. A SFW picture, as good as it is, will attract few while a kinky/naughty one will attract many. But well, there's also what kind of public you want to attract. Putting her in too many adult situation will attract people that may want to put her in more adult situation, which is not what you seem to aim for!

To give her more exposure, well, maybe try to commission her to many different artist you like instead of just shonuff : that way, by appearing on other people gallery, it will attract more people to you indirectly. And your character should attract attention easily that way! :3
And speaking of which, i wouldn't mind trying to draw her in the future if you don't mind! ^^

Unfortunate a lot of the pretty characters people make up seem only to exist to be sexually molested. I have not come across that many OCs that have much development beyond their sexual interests. Even then often characters have very stereotypical/trope personalities that seem to be based on characters from comics, books, manga, anime, television, movies, and so on.
It feels very underwhelming.

I know it is difficult to create something really unique that still appeals to people. Heck, I am not even going to say that my character is that original, something that does occasionally bug me, and if I have said so in the past than I was being an arrogant asshole.

But as a person who loves reading comics and books, and follows the storyline in video games I find it important that characters get some development that show us their interests, hobbies, outlook in live (other than sex), what perhaps makes them afraid and keeps them up at night, or what they wish to accomplish or what their big goal in life is.

As a result I really don't care much for a lot of otherwise very attractive or beautiful creations, because there is nothing to them.

Take JollyJack, I really like his art style and would like to commission from him if possible, I also like the design/appearance of Chloe Sinclair (she's pretty), but I can't stand her personality.
Almost everything she does is just sex or how much people want to have sex with her.
What should make me care about her or respect her?

I know a lot of people don't seek more from their creations other than that they look good on drawings and that is their right and freedom but I will not pay much attention to it.

Sadly that is how the situation works, in order to attract more watchers/followers I would have to commission stuff that goes beyond cute/sexy pin ups or play up on certain kinks.
While I do have a few adult ideas I may one day want to have made or make myself they are more meant as erotic than straight pornography it is in general not what I am really interested in making (for one, I really suck at it). There is already enough such material.

I am mainly interested in doing action, adventure, mystery, and when I can pull it off; funny ideas. (sadly genuine comedy is hard)
The pin ups are mostly there for fun and to please the eye.

I have had my eye on some other artists for commissions similar to the types on my account so far as well as a couple of "off" to make it not it monotonous (saw an artist who does some nice story book art, I would found it amusing to see this person to his or her style on my OCs) and to add some variety. The big issue however is finances, I am not employed and it doesn't look that I will find any kind of work that actually pays soon (long story)
Had that not been the case I would probably have ordered drawings every month.

I have no objection against that but I would like to know what you would exactly want to draw with her. Pin ups are discussable but adult material that shows sex or implies sex is off limits for now. I also don't want any fetish art with her.

I don't like to make people wait because I have a tendency to delay tasks I have appointed to myself to carry out. I already disappointed someone important to me yesterday who was waiting for an answer for an offer she gave me.

I need to confess that I had not thought of JollyJack's Chloe in that way, her personality being this way because she is meant to be a full sex focused character for the audience that prefers that.
Still I find it somewhat a shame as I do like her design and JollyJack's art style very much. I just wish something more interesting had been done with her rather than comics and art about her sexcapades.

That is the dream, now I need to focus on it.
My biggest source of influence and inspiration is probably Mike Mignola's work such as Hellboy, the BPRD, Lobster Johnson, but also his Baltimore series and Joe Golem, and other mystery-horror oriented comics such as Weird Detective, though as you can guess I would like to keep it a little more lite hearted as those comics tend to be quite brutal when it comes to horrible things happening to regular people.

BTW, if you have any suggestions for comics with a similar theme or just good plain action-adventure please tell me about them.
Currently I am going through Marvel's old Conan the Barbarian comics and other Robert E. Howard inspired material such as Solomon Kane and Kull the Conquerer. They also have a lot of mystery elements.

I'm not really knowledgeable on comics to be honest, most of those i watch are webcomics, and usually they are light-hearted. But you snatched my curiosity with that list, i'll have to check them out! The last comic i read were the Fables one as i liked the videogame. It was enjoyable for the first half but not a must, and the second half just isn't worth it. But for detective with a supernatural touch, the telltale Fables still holds up very well, i recommend it to you if you can get it for cheap! :)

If i stumble on good comic/webcomic of that style, i'll be sure to tell you about them! :)

Well, just you being a nice person is enough for me, and i usually do at least one free picture for people i know, but otherwise i can work with trades and commissioning(i'll start accepting commission in july probably). I'm just not used to, well, charge people for that, especially as my drawing style is rather simple. I just to these for fun, stress-free, and if it makes people smile, it's a good bonus!

And sure, i'll keep you in touch about it if i plan to draw her one day of course! :)
