I wear boots every single day, and I have a selection of boots that I like wearing more often than others.

Well, female footwear is a no-no, so no women's boots. Also, too casual dress boots are a NOPE as well. And things that don't deserve to call themselves boots (lookin' at you, "desert"/chukka boots)!

...this confirms things. The way you feel about boots is uncannily similar to the way I feel towards formalwear. In fact, if you replaced 'boots' with 'formalwear' and '"desert"/chukka boots' with 'tuxedo speedos', you would end up with my feelings.

Mexican boots? That's quite vague...the most Mexican boots I can think of are exotic, pointy cowboy boots...those are alright. Although...there's also those boots with extremely long tips that look completely absurd. Those are too much of a joke for me to like.
