Framing Is Expensive

I just checked in at Michael's to get an estimate on how much framing the clipper would be and it was over a hundred dollars with a 75% discount!! Why is it so much? My goodness, does anyone know of any relatively cheap framing alternatives that Michael's? It would be helpful, or I could just let my friend frame it himself...

If they frame it they can have it match the rest of the décor. Or you can buy a cheaper larger frame and place one of the border mats in and either have it cut or trimmed to fit the clipper image.

The problem I'm having is that 12"x14" is not a common size, so I think that's part of the price being high. I see what you're saying though. I think a problem with framing cross stitch pieces is that they have to stretch and attach it over a foam board and then put it in the frame.
