Yeah there are TONS of amazing artists on this site... a lot of them have unfortunately left for Furry Network in the past few years though.

really? Is there a reason for that or has it just been something that's been happening for a while?

It was a lot of drama, not sure the reason down to a T. Something along the lines of Furaffinity being owned by IMVU and people were worried about having their art stolen and sold by others from off site?

Aaaaah I see, Deviant Art had a similar issue a while back, it was part of the reason I left...I mean that and the MASSIVE amount of art theft from other users.

Yes I heard about dA's problems too. I still use my account there.. but only for human/humaniod art. I keep my furry stuff here. xD

I stopped using it a while back if only because people kept jacking my art from it and putting it up on other sites, and yeah I'm moooostly keeping furry art here, furry and nsfw, somehow it doesnt feel comfortable to share nsfw on DA, idk why!

I understand. dA has a lot of rules and restrictions against NSFW and pornography. The community on this site is pretty awesome honestly, I find this site better than any of the others for being able to communicate with other artists and get comments back from them.

that's another reason I joined! Tumblr is so quiet, literally no one talks to you other than asks and the occassional comment on your posts, being able to really interact with people is really nice!

Oh man seriously! I also just generally don't like tumblr's website, so I use that as little as possible.

I use it a lot, if only bc I'm very used to it and I share a lot of comic stuff on there, but I DO dislike the lack of community, so for me FA is great because I love to comment and get comments and generally talk to people

I always considered myself a furry when I was younger even tho I never did much in the community outside of deviantart
I think in 2012 I made my first FA so I was probably 13-14. I pretty much have used the site consistently since then! I even barely ever use DA now haha. FA is my main art website.
Also, I agree Tumblr can be quite cold sometimes.

I'm fairly new to being a furry, but I've always drawn semi anthro stuff, so I thought this site was a good place to go to.
And YEAH omg tumblr is just, urgh it's an artists nightmare, especially if you aren't really into fanart, althoooo that's a rant for another day hahaha.
