Home from Furlandia

Wow! What a trip!
I was fortunate to be invited as a Guest of Honor at Furlandia this year in Portland. It was a wonderful con experience and I would like to thank all of the staff at the con who made me feel welcome and treated me so well.
Furlandia is a newer con, but they managed 975 attendees this year! I found the size to be just lovely. Small enough to be intimate and large enough that I was never bored. I was able to walk around and chat with people and meet many new faces.
I hope very much to visit Portland again in the future. I expect this con to last a long time and hope more and more people attend in the coming years.
So, to everyone who attended Furlandia, and everyone who worked hard to make the con a reality. Thank you so very much!

when i was up there was in the 80s,
before fur cons became a thing,
but sf cons were going strong,
as well as sf fan group meetings every other week.
kinda wish i was back up somewhere in that direction.
i mean my sierras are where i belong,
but except for blfc, reno/sparks
is pretty dead for most of the kinds of things i'm interested in.
(no good train stores nor inexpensive computer/parts stores,
several other things i like are mostly awol too.)
the imortality of innocense lives in momo.
and i am thankful that it does.
