I'm thinking of writing and drawing a comic some time this year, maybe. Any tips on do's and dont's? Also, help with places to get it published when I finish it?
It will be a romance comic I think, but nothing Adult. I'm not ready for that kind of art yet D:
Another friend of mine that does comics introduces me to them. I've been stocking up everytime i go to the local retail art store. They are nice. Also. I have found a t-square is very nice to have. :3
I can't think of anything else right off. I'll let you know if I do think of more though. Good luck and have fun with it. I really need to get back to work on mine XP
The best thing I could give a pointer on would to say ...don't be like me. I've always thought of it myself but never 'did' it. I could even dare say just dive straight into it. Do something even if it looks or feels bad as the first steps are always the hardest.
As for other pointers.

We had to read some of it for my manga class last semester, and it is fantastic
Don't start out with an angst scene or a fight scene (terribly cliche and hard to make it work).
Practice saying things with a very few words.
Try drawing a few practice panels and see what you like best in inks and dialogue and word fonts. Comic Sans is not the only font around.
Keep bookmarks of comics you like and try to do some of the stuff you like in those.
