Western Digital Black is a pretty reliable drive if you plan to use the drive daily for hours per day. Do you already have a SSD for your Operating System? It's a huge QoL improvement.

A good setup is a 120-512 GB SSD for your OS and most used games, and the HDD as secondary storage drive for your Steam / Origin / other DRM Library.

You can ship or arrange a local pickup if you wanna save shipping costs, ask for CDI (Crystal Disk Info) on their drive if someone shows interest, it shows how long it's been powered on and the condition it's in. My brother installed a Seagate Desktop ST3000DM001 3TB drive for me back in 2013. It's been going strong, and only has one bad sector to date.

I will second an SSD/HDD combo if at all possible, though the price/storage ratio on SSDs are still significantly more costly on the SSD. On spinner drives you'll want to note the rotational speed. 7200RPM is the performance option on most HDDs and is the only one to get if you're gaming on it. You can also get hybrid drives which are HDDs with a small SSD cache on them, though I've felt not much differentiates them from standard HDDs. Past that, I'd second the WD Black as an option(at nine years old my WD Blues are the oldest drives I have in use and they haven't ever hiccuped despite starting life in my old gaming laptop and moving over to external caddies), though I've had some good luck with Hitachi HDDs.
