Birthday today!

I turn 28 today!? It's more likely than you think. :V
I honestly wish I could say it's been a happy birthday, but my self-esteem took a pretty big blow recently and now I'm wondering if anyone really likes my art at all. Plenty of people say they do, but due to recent events, I'm not sure if anyone really does anymore. You can shake hands with a hundred people, but you will always remember that one person who smacked you across the face.
That's pretty much the note my birthday has begun on. I wanted to believe that my character is adorable and that my art is appealing to others, but due to what one person said to me recently, I'm just not sure anymore. I want to believe something will happen that will really boost my confidence today, but right now I'm just not sure. I get that maybe my art is nothing remarkable, but I wanted to believe that my style had appeal and that what I do for others mattered.
Still, I appreciate any birthday wishes I get today. Thank you all for your continued support. <3

Secondly, man, I'm so sorry hearing one person's negative comment really put your day off to a lame start; Espcially on your b-day. :C I know exactly how that feels, though.
I know it sucks and easier said than done, but try not to allow one person's opinion affect you greatly. The unfortuate fact is that it's just impossible to please everyone on this planet, but think of all of the other people who do love and appreciate your work. It more than outweighs that one person's comment! (Plus that new Twitter icon you did for me got so many nice compliments!)
Anyway, I hope you feel better and happy B-day once again! Don't allow it to keep getting to you!
I'll try to focus more on those who do appreciate what I do. I just wish my style did it for more people.
And don't worry! Like Takinoue above said, everybody just has different tastes, is all! Your style is adorable and, IMO, it really stands out around here! :)
