Hello there, FA...

Been a while since my last journal update, so I thought I'd let you folks now what I've been up to. Due to various problems and distractions, the year didn't start off as productive for me as I would have liked. One of the reasons is that openCanvas decided to act really screwy all of a sudden. So I had to find a replacement, and after some searching and experimenting eventually settled for Painter. It's a very old and limited version, and I'm still learning how to use it - Yet, in some ways it makes me wonder why I ever used openCanvas. The way the program simulates textures and colour blending - it's magic. :) I will toy around with it for a while longer, but somewhere along the road I'll probably get me a copy of a more recent version.
Anyway, that and other things made it difficult to complete much art, so now I'm trying to catch up. I'd like to emphasize that I haven't forgotten about any trade or request pictures I still owe to people. I may be slow, but if I promised you a picture then you will sooner or later receive it. :P
While I'm at it, I'd like to thank my co-artists and fans of my work for the continued support. I seem to receive more feedback here ( and almost exclusively positive, at that ) than at any other art site, even when I post "off-topic" works, and I appreciate it. Due to that, and because I've been posting mainly human-themed work lately, I've actually been considering to do an anthro themed "gift pic", to show my gratitude. Not sure yet, what exactly, although I have a few ideas. Feel free to comment on this journal, to let me know what you'd like to see. Please keep in mind that this is meant as a general gift, though, so please don't ask me to draw your personal character for you, or the like - I'm just looking for general suggestions. :P Species, themes, basic ideas, that kind of thing. Fanart would be all right, too, if enough people would like to see art based on a certain character or series. Thanks!

As for painter, very nice tool! I use painter 9, myself, and though its interface isn't nearly as easy as say, artrage 2 or any of the Photoshops, when you get the hang of it, it certainly produces wonders!
Artrage is a wonderfully simple and intuitive program. I only have the original Artrage, which imo is too simplistic to use it as primary GFX software, but I like using it for sketches.
Is the interface of Painter 9 greatly different from its previous versions?

I had tried sketching my half again a while ago, but I was rather disappointed and scrapped the result (ONCE AGAIN ;_; ). I am going to try to make it again since my art muse seems to finally have come back :3 (taking advantage of this to take commissions first, but since I often feel the urge to draw humans, yours is number 1 candidate for my very next human picture)
I just want to give my best for the picture for you, you DO deserve it.
And it's bad enough that I keep you waiting for so long - But I wouldn't just cancel the picture. I currently have a few other WIPs already, but maybe I can squeeze your pic in between and get a little work on it done at least. Either way, I will complete it, eventually... XD

Seriously, it's an interesting idea, but not really the kind of thing I'm looking for, either. Sounds more like it could be turned into an enormous collaboration...
Thanks for the feedback, anyhow! And Heather seems to have a great number of original characters. Now, if she has some kind of avatar character, that I couldn't say.

Also, I've checked the other characters, and now I'm wondering what's it about Zelda and its... large-chested females. XD Twilight Princess had a similar character - The bar-keeper... I forgot her name... She was actually pretty sexy, though.
But I suspect I may be talking to the wrong panda about this... XD
