As some of you may know, I recently had a minor health emergency in which I was diagnosed with severe contact dermatitis and cellulitis. Due to the severity and worsening of the conditions, I had to visit an urgent care center run by my insurance provider before I could go to the regular doctor. This has left me with a $200 bill that will be very hard for me to pay. Art is my sole source of income, and money is already tight for a number of reasons, including other recent health issues. Additionally, the medications I’m on to treat the conditions leave me very hazy, and I likely won’t be in any state to work until the meds have run their course in about a week. Follow-up care with a dermatologist, as recommended by the doctor who treated me, may also be needed if the symptoms come back.
