My AC Experience
So this year, I went to AC for the first time.
It wasn't just my first AC, but my very first trip to the US ever. After working in comics and art for decades. I discovered and got to be part of the fandom, looking at it from a distance. internet made possible for folks like me to be part of a community even if I'm far away, and it's been great, of course, but it was still sort of disconnected experience.
But getting to meet my friends and other artists, both old and new, it was an experience I never thought I would be able to do. So I guess for me, going to AC was like a kid going to Disneyland for the first time! hehe.
It was great getting to meet old friends for the first time, as well as all the new and wonderfull people, getting pics from them and me drawing for them as well. Buying all sort of stuff and seeing all sort of things and places, and I can't thank all of them enough for making this trip so memorable.
I felt like a little kind again, and I hope to keep doing it in the future!

That's what these conventions are really good for. *^^*
Glad you had fun!
Sadly, I haven't been back to AC since 2013. As I live in the West (I formerly lived in the Northeast USA), it's hard to get to Pittsburgh and most of my time & money are devoted to local conventions as well as making a name for myself.
Hope you make it back one day and I will someday return to Pittsburgh.
AC, NFC, EF... its becoming bigger every year. i work at NFC (nordicfuzzcon) i can tell ya' it still kinda'ish small but VERY NICE!
