I'm scared

Something bad with the gum of my teeth. Already made a appointment with the dentist but it's still making me tremble in fear. I thought I did well but I guess I still don't floss enough. It's regression of the gum, I read that the gum will likely not recover after some scary looking intervention. Only further damage will be stopped. I should've called the dentist long ago but I was too ashamed.
Just when I did well with study I have to be hit in another way by life. It never ends.
Sorry to bother you with this but it's my own health so it's making me very scared.

At least I'll be able to prevent any further damage than.
1. If you notice anything unusal or odd, you should visit the denist to check it. Delays usual make the things the denist has to do only bigger as the problem gets bigger. So its better to check in early and pevert damage when its little.
2. I dunno why you feel ashamed. People go get troubles on theet and mouth, some people more so then others. Going to the denist when soemthing wrong is not a bad thing. Its actuall the smart and best thing one can do. So in my book no need to worry or fear or feel ashamed for that. Nobody is perfect!
3. I wont worry mself to much with the stuff you readed. Your young your body can heal plenty. Just visit the denist and see how things go form there.
4. In case you still feel feared from your denist, if its not a good one go to a diffrent denist. It something I did, Beeing by a good denist can solve alot of thise fear feels.
And lastly I would suggest you to check your teeth yearly or better half yearly.
The lady at the phone told me I missed one which I can't remember well.
They did say that flossing for 2 weeks should make the gum healthy pinkish again from the previous irritated state so hopefully I can achieve that at least.
I do have this general fear of the dentist still though, had to be drilled often. Oddly enough last time I went there he said I was completely fine. Teeth wise at least.
Biggest problem is that I never got used to flossing regularly, not doing it once is not a issue but I always end up forgetting it more and more.
It's my own fault, I never managed to make a habit out of flossing as I was only told to at a older age to do so never learned but really don't. Gum health is not a issue dentists can do anything about because it's about regularly flossing and using toothpicks. Toothpicks actually hurting more than really helping as far as I know.
Ugh sorry I keep on going, in short I'm really scared of the dentist. The waiting room is like waiting for the pain machine, I don't understand why it always has to hurt so I hate it. Other people like my younger brother take less care of their teeth and are better off anyway. It's unfair.
