Good news is, what I'm about to tell you is going to make you sound incredible. Bad news, you're going to have to spend a little money.
Anyways, first thing you guys have to do ditch the USB mics, no matter what you do, USB mic audio will always sound bad. (Yes, all of those Youtubers who think having a Blu Yeti mic have been scammed because they only bought a polished turd.)
What you're going to do is get an XLR mic and interface. What I use is the Scarlett Solo Studio which cost me around $125 on sale, usually goes for about $200 so check Ebay and Amazon if and when they're on sale and don't be afraid to buy used. What these interfaces do is they simulate your audio instead of having an internal chip in your motherboard do it for you so it's already going to sound much clearer.
Now you can stop there and do some audio tuning with VoiceMeter, but if you want to get REALLY serious on this the you're also going to need a Condenser, these are a little expensive so you'll have to save up for it, but luckily it can wait for down the line because with just an XLR mic and interface you're already higher in audio quality than 80% people on YouTube who currently do recordings for podcasts and whatever, thats how much of an impact it will be.
Its a podcast so relax and have fun with it.
Then theres fixing any echo you might have in your room, which can be done super easily with some foam on the corners of your room. You don't need to go in a closet and burry your microphone like a lot of people THINK is the right thing to do, just don't do your recording in empty space and you'll be good.
Lastly, you don't need a pop-filter, unless you're yelling really loud or you're using a sensative mic (Like a ribbon mic but maaan those are expensive) If you're talking too loud and your mic is peaking, just adjust the gain and you're golden
