Parting is such sweet sorrow.....

Had to say goodbye to my sweet little baby girl today -

She would have been 14 years old in 12 days, which for a pure Golden is pretty good. Quite the princess, spoiled rotten, and very sweet. Had her since she was nine weeks of age, and there is such a void, this hole in my heart. She was in a lot of pain, and had stopped eating, so it was time, but it is never easy. The vets office was great, the office girls all came in to say goodbye and were almost as upset as I was! She just slowly went to sleep in my arms, so peaceful really. They give us such unconditional love, perhaps that is why it is so difficult when they leave us....
