Hey folks~
Sorry to come at you with a PSA out of nowhere but I wanted to address something that has been a slight issue for a bit now!
While I know no one has done so with bad intentions, I'd really like to request people refrain from using my characters or art for RP! This includes sites like F-list, twitter, Amino apps, etc!
Before anyone gets upset, I'd at least like to explain myself a little, if you all are okay with that! I've always been very passive about this situation as long as the RPer would make sure they put somewhere that it wasn't actually -me- but it seems even when they do, that detail gets overlooked at times and I find myself in extremely awkward situations because of it! There have been times where someone would walk up to me at a con, see my badge, and proceed to talk about (often) explicit exchanges we'd allegedly had. That's a rough situation for both people because I have to tell them that they're mistaken, I'm embarrassed, they get embarrassed; Everyone's feeling pretty awkward! I admit that it ended up being a bit funny in a few of those cases, but these incidents are getting a little too common now!
There's also the issue where folks think that I'm "into" the same fetishes as the folks RPing as my characters and it's brought me a lot of unwanted interaction from folks who are not very...subtle or well mannered about approaching me on them...yikes.
As for using my art of characters that are not mine; chances are that art is commissioned and the characters within belong to other people! While I can't speak for every single commissioner on their views, I can say I've already had many customers come to me and ask me to file removals for the art!
So I am really sorry to say this, and I know I can't FORCE anyone to do anything, but if you're a fan of my characters and my art, I'd really appreciate it if you'd refrain from using them ;u;! I'm always very flattered to see folks like my work and my characters; genuinely! It can just cause me more trouble than I really have time to deal with ;u;

I mean, I have been helping people stop. One step at a time. Because they are everywhere. I mean, one person tried doing it with me around, saying it was okay to claim your characters and art for THEIR characters. Which honestly was rude and annoying to me that they thought it was okay

I know the pain, I've also had a few instances of people using my art/character for their own... in one case, a person made a whole collection of characters and didn't even change any of the names. Was quite weird to get a certain personality/personality traits associated to me by someone else.

Wow, you were really polite and civil about this! Most artists get really riled up / annoyed by people doing this (and rightfully so). I know I'd be pee'd off if someone was using my character(s) for their own RPs and art without asking me first!

good gah kids these days. yeah I know how you feel about this. I think they do this just so they get notice and get popular or something.

Honestly, the people who do this know it's wrong, and probably care to read a journal asking them to stop. It's unfortunate.
