I've always liked this term. I think it's suave and at least ONE of my FTM friends thinks it's cool. But as Drayk said: some FTM really dislike any reference to the fact they still have the female hardware.

And that's totally fair. I would never use any of the above terms beyond the abstract. When talking to another person, you should always ask what they want to be called and then call them exactly that and nothing else.

Well 2 years ago "nobody was offended by it" because it's only just becoming mainstream and accepted by the general public now. 2 years ago, most people who did take offense to the term would have been too scared of outing themselves to their friends and family by standing up and saying they'd prefer to use a different word.

I'm not trans and I've always disliked the word "cuntboy." I reserve use of the word "cunt" only when I'm really mad at something and all my other swear words just don't seem to cut it. It just doesn't seem a fitting word for me to use on a beautiful boy with a nice vulva.

Cunt makes a great curse word, but it's hardly a sexy term. It still does the best job describing the set of genitals you have without a long title. Not that I like the term myself, but it's easiest and it's widely used by a lot of furs.

I just hate when people get upset when I use the wrong pronouns, even if I had no idea beforehand what they themselves wanted to be called. Okay, stop rigging the board... I always try to do my best to be kind and not insult transgendered people and friends but somehow I do anyway for tiny shit that I wouldn't even think could bother someone; that's what I mean when I say they're insulted too much.

Honestly? A lot of it is just the majority of people never having to question those things in relation to themselves. It's so confusing for the people who have to question that, because society's gender roles and identities, up until recently, for the past 1000 years have been so rigid.

Don't get me wrong though, people getting insulted you called them by the wrong pronouns when what they preferred wasn't obvious or they haven't told you is ridiculous. There has to be understanding on both sides, including the side calling for so much of it so frequently.

I'm all for educating others about trans-gendered people and such to help with the ignorance. This whole two genders thing is ridiculous though. Not helping in the slightest...

I wish penetratively challenged peoples would just pick a term and stick with it. Having to search 40 different keywords when looking for art is such a pain.

The word "cunt" is one I typically only use when I'm really mad and all other swear words just fall short of the anger I'm trying to display. It's cacophonic and it doesn't sound pretty. It is literally the only cuss word I excuse myself for using around other people because I do find it to be the most offensive just by itself. I've never liked the word "cuntboy" just out of personal preference. It doesn't seem like a pretty word to use when describing a handsome man with a vulva.

I understand its use for categorization in the porn world, and that it should absolutely never be used to describe a transgender person. I just prefer to use other words because that one in particular just doesn't sound nice. Every time I've heard/seen it used, I can't help but think the descriptor is using it to slander someone.

That's why when I came across the more accurate descriptor "Intersex male" for my character I switched to it and left cuntboy behind. Like you said it does have its uses for categorization bit otherwise it's to much of a happy/infuriating term for folks to use w/o worry.

I'm pretty sure that's mostly rhetoric from "Allies" and such, and maybe from some extreme individuals that just need something to vent their angst over.

Just want to toss my two cents in here. I'm not a terribly big fan of "cuntboy," but I do like "vagentleman" as a silly term and "intersex male" as something more... polite? Official-sounding? Not sure which would be better. I like shortening it to "intermale," because it's one word (a little easier to find in searches, theoretically) and it's also a little shorter. I guess herms and the like could be interfemales, but I think the terms for that particular blend of sex traits are a little tamer so it's not as necessary. (Or should that be "preferable?" Either one.)

Either way, I do think it's a personal-preference thing for both sides. Not really a discussion I want to dive headfirst into; I'm just wading into the metaphorical shallow end and I'd very much like to stay there if possible.

(By the way, your explanation on why you made your character/fursona a vagentleman was absolutely brilliant! I have to admit, I never thought that hard about the intersex-male characters I have - only that I really like the aesthetics of chaps with gaps. ...Sorry, that one was awful.)
