I don't know any tutorials, but I've noticed that hard edges on the shines and shading looks nice on it.

I've noticed that too! Though right now I think I wanna try and go with a more "soft and shiny" style of latex rather then hard edged .o.

That's useful for helping with where and how to orient the shining and shading, though I more so am looking for ways to draw the shining and shading itself ;v; Some artists have a "hard edged" lighting like in the thigh high boot in that tutorial and others have a more "soft and blended" style of shining. I'm just kinda looking for one that fits me and isn't tooooo tricky. .o.

I'm not sure how useful these will be for you since they're not specifically about latex, but I figured I'd offer my input anyway.

https://www.ctrlpaint.com/videos/st.....ing-glossiness This video goes over glossiness, particularly how the highlights can be very indicative of what the texture of the surface you're looking at is.

https://www.ctrlpaint.com/videos/ho.....ing-in-3-steps This one is even more vague, but it's a good video to look at any time you find yourself thinking "How do I draw _____?" Basically the key is having plenty of references to work from, both art and photographs. Now that video is meant particularly for realistic digital painting, so if you're doing cartoons or lineart, you have an additional step. You'd want to learn first how to draw it realistically, then you need to figure out how you're going to stylize it, like which parts you're going to simplify or exaggerate.
