Being a furry is probably one of the least off putting "kinks" any can have imo. Sure you have to get people to not think you're into bestiality (if bestiality is ones cup of tea, well, then uh.. that's something they have to figure out XD ), but other than that it's pretty tame if you think about it. Good way to introduce someone to it is with some g/pg furry themed art/comic strips and then work your way up to the naugh--- err "fun" stuff :P

As for broken hearts, it sucks, but if you don't try you'll never know (and paying for dating sites is teh sex, and fuck eHarmony while we're on the subject, they only recently added a gay/lesbian search feature because they were getting slammed in the independent press about it. There was a funny commercial reping a competing dating sight that had a guy looking at a playboy going "oh yeah... that's hot.... mmm...no, still gay", a while back lol.

Being furry is something that I enjoy. I don't know if I will get a significant other in my life yet, but I'm hopeful that if I get someone who doesn't go: "Ewwww!! What are those?"
It is a kink to a degree; you can roleplay with it, etc.

As for the broken heart, life is a difficult game to play. I'm scared to get my feet wet.

well i guess before you let yourself get to a point where your heart would be broken (i'm sorry that ever had to happen to you, i totally know what it feels like), you'd have to make sure they were ok with it

As for looking outside the fandom, I know many furs with non furry mates. Works for them.

Life is hard and treacherous when it comes to dating, and I know for a lot of other people, it is full of fear and causes a lot of despondency. In my opinion, your furry fandom life should remain a personal matter, as in actuality, not everyone needs to know that your furr. Sure it is fun for some people, but still, there are some parts of your life that need or should remain private. Your scared to find a partner, we've all been there, but it should not limit you to just a furry if it is the heartbroken factor that limits you. I am not a furry, not in the least bit (joined the site for a friend and all) but my mate sure as hell is. Pounced isn't worth shit, eHarmony can f'off, and all the other pay to date sites can go shove it, we all know they pretty well suck/

Try outside the fandom Kaa, you would be surprised how many accepting people there are. I'm not going to drop names of my own personal group of friends, but if you find at least one man who you find chemistry with, do as Impmon12345 suggested, and approach it delicately. Who knows, the man could find some zealous interest in that your a fervid scale artist. I'm not saying jump into Starbucks, pop out the laptop and flirt with the first guy who comes near you (I have, got me in trouble :p)

And, all I can say is be brave and have confidence Kaa. Most men like a guy with it. You know, keep a cool head, be calm and casual, and all that good stuff. And sooner or later, your gonna find someone who likes that, and so on and so forth. ^^ Good luck to you, 'Strych'
