The game is very starter friendly but as a guy who's played since Vanilla...if ya need any advice, give me a poke :3

I actually recently stopped playing... but I was playing daily for almost 3 years solid before that, so... can't say it wasn't time for a break.

I'd say try to keep yourself aware of what's "limited" when you're playing. Like mounts that may be removed and the like, or one-time promotional pets/mounts if you are into that sort of thing. Missed out on a few myself during Mists of Pandaria, still kicking myself for not getting them. (But I did only play Pandaria for like, a week before I quit playing it...) Also try not to take any dungeon or raid group kicks too hard. I honestly quit after a LOT of raid and dungeon kicks for "not doing enough damage"... and I did take it personally, but I also don't have an active guild I was in... so on that note, make sure you're in a guild that isn't dead and you can get raids/dungeons with, because random groups through raid/dungeon finder suck.

It's beena while since I've played the game. It is very starter friendly and makes me sad about the skill tree that use to be there and taken away. I've thought about paying on my account and getting back on there to check it out. It's a really cool game. Tips? Make sure to read the race and know what class you want to play with that race. It can benefit or hurt you in the long run. Also, know if you like to button mash or like to click a lot. I'm far from professional, but I still remember back the good old times.

I've not heard anything about it in so long I just assumed it was dead.

Its still very much alive, and people get quite mad at any "WoW is dead" remark >W> Its just quietly going through a new expansion or something, Blizzard's more focused on Overwatch at the moment

*nods* It's their new cash cow, I doubt they'd go back to WoW. x.x

Try to burn through the Burning Crusade stuff as fast as possible, the other expansions are much more entertaining.
