I don't know what to do
8 years ago
I just had my landlord in my place to inspect something and I have bed bugs.
One of the only way to get rid of them is to literally get rid of my bed, my couch and all my cloths.
On top of all of that the fumigation can get pretty expensive.
I really don't know what I'm going to do guys ;-;

Step 2) Steam clean EVERYTHING. Box up all your loose things and rent a steam cleaners or buy a cheap one on Amazon.
Step 3) Do not eat in any place but the kitchen, and clean up after.
Step 4) Look for proper chemicals if the steam cleaning doesnt work.

Make sure if you're in an apartment that every adjacent unit is also treated. The landlord is also responsible for ensuring you have a livable home, and they should cover any treatments to the place needed.
Fumigation doesn't work too well unless they manage direct contact, these fuckers can hold their breath for almost a year. They're also resilient AF, I've stabbed one with a toothpick and it responded by pulling it's body through the spear to get closer. I've cut another in half with a knife.
If your bed frame has limited entry points, you can sit them on bowls of Silica powder or sharp sand (Can't remember the name)
The first sticks to them and dries them out, the second sticks to them and death of a thousand cuts.
If not, use an inflatable mattress on the floor and a single bed sheet, and make a perimeter of one of the same two products. They will come to you, you are the bait.
Now this is a bit you're not going to like. Bed bugs will psychologically ruin you for a long time after you've dealt with them. You're going to feel itchy like you've gotten bites even years after the problem is averted, you'll be sitting at your PC and panic as you feel some wind on your legs. And this problem may be something you gotta deal with for up to a year or more pending.
It's going to change the way you live your day to day. Every day you're spending an easy 4-6 hours intense cleaning. Your belongings and clothes in plastic bins.
In my own experience, I needed to move leaving behind my bedding, desk and bureau with all my sheets, clothes and pillows I used the night before going into the trash. I'm just happy they didn't get to my fursuit too.
