There are people who are happy about this hurricane ripping through Houston?
It's absolutely disgusting that people in my country are letting the political divide override human compassion. I don't care who voted for what hot mess of a candidate. anyone rejoicing in the suffering of anyone during a disaster for any reason need to get their brains scanned because this stupidity is beginning to border on sociopathy. and anyone who doesn't learn their lesson I hope they realize that they will have this to think about and regret on their death bed when their final moments come in their life,

Those people are just jealous that we Texans actually take care of ourselves, then all they can do is complain :P
Texan gloating aside. I am in the middle of it, and have seen some of the flooding, and have been keeping tabs on my neighborhood in this storm (Im in the Houston area, not Houston itself). And I have been keeping in touch with folks around me.
It is a rescue group made of volunteers. But of course many here also have boats and were being asked by police to assist in rescue efforts
That kind of crap is what keeps me away from all churches and religion...
there were many political claims, where some post were cheering that we flooded "because Texas is a Republican State.".
